One of the world's most photographed beaches – Cathedral Cove is named after a huge arched cavern through white rock, joining two beautiful secluded coves. The beach is white sand, with waterfalls, rocky islets for jumping into the sea, and a background of shady pohutukawa trees. The walkway was badly damaged by the 2023 Cyclone, so the Cove can currently ONLY be reached by boat (water taxi or sea kayak from Hahei). Or scenic boat trips from Whitianga and Hahei which take you close but don't land there.

What our other guests had to say
Greeted by name upon arrival. Excellent attention to detail. Everything very well set out and really well looked after. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending (and have already done so for friends). Thank you very much Jane and Chris for looking after us!

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, really nice room with a small balcony. Breakfast from the upstairs balcony overlooking the bay was fantastic, we sat inside the second morning but still a great view and to top it off the breakfast was superb. Simply the best B&B we have ever...

Chris gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and hikes. Jane’s homemade muesli with fruit and cooked-to-order breakfast was delicious. We appreciated their warm welcome. The location is perfect to explore the area.
