Tairua Harbour teems with birdlife at low tide – herons, godwits, stilts, oystercatchers and kingfishers in abundance, while, on the ocean beach, rare dotterels build their nests and gannets dive for fish. The local bush is full of the sound of tui and morepork. You may also see dolphins from the beaches and the occasional orca. Enjoy too the unique bush mix of native ferns, palms and trees, local farms and beautiful gardens.

Bird watchers will love it here, with so many shore and forest birds to see and hear.
It was a wonderful 2 night stay. Great view, comfortable rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Chris and Jane are wonderful hosts. We would recommend this spot to anybody. It is a great gateway to the tourist spots in Coromandel. We visited great beaches, a little winery and much more.
Excellent hospitality - friendliest people We were greeted by Eve, the hilarious, very personable hostess. We succeeded in not calling your husband Adam! His name is Alan - sorry Alan! Beautiful home, centrally located, great views, above all - great hosts. Informative, cheerful, GREAT...

Greeted by name upon arrival. Excellent attention to detail. Everything very well set out and really well looked after. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending (and have already done so for friends). Thank you very much Jane and Chris for looking after us!
