Whitianga and Hahei are great starting points for scenic boat trips along the coast and to the Marine Reserve, with glass-bottom and snorkelling too as part of the trips. Diving and snorkelling excursions also run from here. Sea kayaking and sailing are very popular. Paddle boarding is growing rapidly too – try the new 'SUP' trip across to Donut Island.
On the Water
There are many options to get you out onto or under the water.
It was a wonderful 2 night stay. Great view, comfortable rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Chris and Jane are wonderful hosts. We would recommend this spot to anybody. It is a great gateway to the tourist spots in Coromandel. We visited great beaches, a little winery and much more.
Greeted by name upon arrival. Excellent attention to detail. Everything very well set out and really well looked after. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending (and have already done so for friends). Thank you very much Jane and Chris for looking after us!

The bed was comfortable and Chris was welcoming. We had a nice breakfast looking out onto the water. However, the shower was very cramped, there was nowhere to put anything - there was hanging area. More plugs are needed for recharging phones etc and the guest lounge was too small. As there are...
